Christmas gift tip

Even if you made out like a bandit this Christmas, San Angelo police remind you, don't advertise your new gifts to burglars by leaving boxes out for trash pickup- it's like advertising "I got a new flatscreen...come steal from me!" Burglars looking to target homes often drive through our neighborhoods after Christmas taking note of the discarded boxes. Instead of leaving them intact, crush the boxes and put them in a dark garbage bag so potential burglars won't know what you got. 10 extra minutes could save you from falling victim to home burglary. Be safe and be sure to report suspicious activity to San Angelo police.
