Funeral services will be held this morning for a former San Angelo police officer who died last Friday morning while working for the police department in Austin. Jaime Padron was shot and killed at a Wal-Mart in north Austin, allegedly by 24-year-old Brandon Daniel, who's been arrested and charged with capital murder. Services were Wednesday in Austin for Padron, whose body was then transported to San Angelo for this morning's services at St. Joseph's Church. Padron grew up in Knickerbocker and served on the San Angelo police for for 14 years.
