Severe thunderstorms and flash flood warnings marked the holiday
weekend in Tom Green County. Widespread flooding and driving hazards
continue. As of early yesterday morning, The Concho River near Bell
St had risen to 9 ft from 2 ft around 9 PM Saturday night. A record
rainfall of 2.39 inches was set at San Angelo Saturday, which broke
the old record of 1.49 inches set in 1919.
