At today's meeting, the San Angelo City Council consider a plan to deal with the probability of a continued drought. It involves pumping water from the south pool of the Twin Buttes Reservoir to the north pool. The south pool currently has a five-month supply of water. It would take about three months to pump the water from one pool to the other at a cost of 60-thousand dollars a month. Meanwhile, city officials urge residents to conserve; San Angelo water use almost doubles during summer months.
