The city of San Angelo Animal Shelter will participate in “Just One Day” next Tuesday, June 11th. This is a national movement of shelters pledging not to euthanize any animals on that day in an effort to call attention to the adoptable pet population. The shelter will engage in a daylong promotion of its adoptable animals by posting photos of them on the City’s Facebook page and Twitter feed. The shelter will also offer free nail trimming and flea dipping on its front lawn on U.S. Highway 67 North. Concho Valley PAWS, a local animal rescue group, will have some of the shelter’s dogs at its location in Sunset Mall from 11 AM to 5 PM.
