For the second time in the last year and a half, the Tom Green
County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 has an opening
for a district manager. On Wednesday, board members voted
unanimously to fire Linda Schneeman. According to the
Standard-Times, Schneeman said after the meeting--quote--"I knew
they were going to fire me. I've been threatened a lot."
Schneeman was hired in October 2012 to replace Yantis Green who
resigned in the wake of a federal embezzlement scandal.
