The woman who admitted stealing from the Children's Advocacy Center was sentenced Wednesday. Former director Debra Brown was originally facing six counts of theft but was allowed to plead guilty to one count, which carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to a quarter-million dollars. A federal district judge sentenced Brown to four years in prison and ordered her to pay some 324-thousand dollars in restitution to the CAC. Brown served as director of the agency for 17 years.
