Angelo State University will be the host of a major conference called "Transborder Narco-terrorism: Addressing a Changing Environment." It will focus on drug-related violence in the U.S.-Mexico border region, the influence of Iranian-backed violent extremist organizations in Latin America and the proliferation of drug cartel activity in Mexico and Central America.
