Most of the more than two-thousand people who work for the San Angelo Independent School District will be getting pay raises. They were approved Monday by the San Angelo ISD trustees. Teachers, librarians, counselors and school nurses are in line for a 15-hundred dollar increase. Starting salaries for new teachers, which had been cut by a thousand dollars last year, is going back up by half that--500 dollars. Most other employees will be getting a three percent raise. Assistant superintendent Jeff Bright says the total cost to the district is two-point-four million dollars.
