The National Weather Service at San Angelo has issued a fire
weather watch for an area including Tom Green, Sterling, Nolan, Coke,
Runnels, Irion, Concho, Crockett, Schleicher and Menard counties.
The watch will be in effect Thursday from 10 AM to six PM. Critical
fire weather conditions are possible in the wake of a cold front that
will move through the area Thursday morning. Gusty northwest winds
will combine with relative humidities of 15 to 20 percent and create
dangerous wildfire conditions.
