Republican Greg Abbott and Democrat Wendy Davis are set to faceoff
in the November general election for governor. Both won their
respective primaries on Tuesday with a wide margin.
The Texas GOP nomination for lieutenant governor is headed towards
a runoff. Incumbent Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst is set to face
Houston State Senator Dan Patrick in May.
The race for the GOP nomination for Texas Attorney General is also
headed for a runoff between State Senator Ken Paxton received and
state Representative Dan Branch.
U.S. Senator John Cornyn is coming out on top in the Republican
primary in Texas.
