A story of real concern to Texas deer hunters. A number of mule deer near the border have now been diagnosed with Chronic Wasting Disease. The disease is always fatal and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says it's now expanding its testing for the disease throughout West Texas. While mule deer account for only around three percent of deer taken by hunters every year, there's a concern that Chronic Wasting Disease could spread to the large West Texas white tail deer population. It's the backbone of the state's two-billion -dollar-a-year deer hunting industry.
