A reminder that a School Safety Summit is coming up next week in San Angelo. Experts from the Texas School Safety Center will be on hand for the event next Tuesday and Wednesday. A new state law requires schools to have new policies on bullying in place, and the Safety Center is expected to provide information and help schools implement plans. Organizations like Boy Scouts, Big Brother/Big Sister, church youth groups, and the Boys and Girls Clubs may also benefit. The event will be held at the Education Service Center on Irene Street, and advanced registration is recommended.
