SPIRIT Youth Choir from First United Methodist Church in San Angelo, TX will present the musical/drama, Godspell, during a special homecoming concert/worship service on Sunday, June 16 at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church San Angelo. The Choir is returning from a ten-day tour to Toronto, Canada, having performed Godspell at churches along the route.
Godspell, written by Stephen Schwartz, is based on the Gospel of Matthew and depicts the life of Jesus Christ beginning with His baptism by John the Baptist and ending with His death and resurrection. A cast of 23 youth, with their house band, will present this exciting and enthralling musical dressed in bright and colorful “celebration” clothes. This is the sixteenth year this group has toured with the musical, Godspell. The mission of this tour group is to spread the love of Jesus Christ through music and drama.
