Also at today's City Council meeting, a bid was approved for reconstruction of the main terminal at San Angelo Regional Airport. The five-point-nine-two-million-dollar proposal got the green light despite at least one question about why the expense is worth it, given that San Angelo is currently served by only one airline. American Eagle had cut daily flights to three before adding a fourth in August. Airport officials responded that the reconstruction is a move toward the future, when it's hoped additional air service will become available.
