The Central boys basketball team did well at the Calallen Tournament in Corpus Christi. Central was 3-1 during the tournament, with the only loss last Wednesday to Corpus Christi Carroll - a team that has yet to lose a game. The Bobcats bring an18-4 record record back home Tuesday against Abilene Cooper in the District 3-5A opener.
The Lake View girls team lost a close one to Breckenridge yesterday at the Breckenridge Tournament. The Maidens were ahead 35-25 after three quarters, but couldn't hold on and lost 42-41. Lake View is 5-11 on the season and will play again Monday at Alpine.
This Sunday the NFL playoff picture will be set, and if the Dallas Cowboys want to enter the post season they have to beat the NY Giants Sunday on the Giants' home turf. The winner of that game wins the NFC East and moves on to the playoffs. The Houston Texans are already in. They host the Titans on Sunday.
