The man who has served as District Attorney for the 51st Judicial District for 15 years is going to step down at the end of his fourth and current term. Stephen Lupton announcing Thursday that he will not seek re-election next year as the D.A. for Tom Green, Coke, Irion, Schleicher and Sterling counties. Lupton says he'll continue practicing as an attorney. He has also endorsed First Assistant District Attorney Allison Palmer as a candidate to replace him.
