Local emergency management authorities remind you that a first-ever nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System will take place this Wednesday at 1 PM. At that time, virtually all broadcast and cable programming in the United States will be interrupted at the same time with the standard emergency tone and message. But, don't be alarmed--like they say, this is only a test.
