The fire marshall is investigating the death of an eight year old boy found in the backyard of a home on Shadyhill on Sunday evening. Police said they found him lying on the ground near a storage shed that had been on fire. It's believed the boy had been inside the shed when the fire broke out and was overcome by smoke an fumes. He was transported to Shannon Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
