THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM TOMORROW. SNOW ON ROADWAYS WILL MAKE TRAVEL SLIPPERY AND DANGEROUS. BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES WHICH FREEZE FIRST. VISIBILITIES MAY BE REDUCED IN HEAVIER SNOW. PRECIPITATION WILL START OFF THIS MORNING AS RAIN,THEN TRANSITION TO A RAIN/SNOW MIX BY LATE MORNING OR EARLY AFTERNOON. A GRADUAL TRANSITION TO ALL SNOW CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE WARNING AREA BY LATE AFTERNOON. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS 4 TO 7 INCHES POSSIBLE WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS.
