The suspect who's been fighting extradition to San Angelo in a 2008 murder case is finally behind bars in the Tom Green County Jail today. We told you last week the a judge in Missouri had finally approved a Texas extradition warrant for 43-year-old James Winchester. Now, Winchester is in custody here in lieu of half a million dollars bail. Winchester was charged in the March, 2008, murder of 53-year-old Kim Burton at her home in the 3300 block of Cornell Street. Winchester arrested in Joplin, Missouri, after detectives said they connected him with the crime. Another man had originally been charged with the killing but he's now been cleared. That man, Dwayne Chadwick, is still in prison on other charges.
