The unemployment rate in Texas has fallen to its lowest point in two and a half years. The Texas Workforce Commission announced today that the jobless figure dropped from eight-point-one percent in November to seven-point-eight percent in December. That's below the national rate of eight-point-five. The state added 20-thousand non-farm jobs and private employers added another 10-thousand. Unemployment in San Angelo was just five-point-five percent in December, down from five-point-seven percent in November and down from six-point-two a year ago.
