Angelo State University's chapter of the American Chemical Society has received an honor.
The national ACS Committee on Education has given the ASU chapter a Commendable Award, marking the eighth straight year the chapter has received a year-end national award.
The committee has honored the chapter for its ASU Science Days, Mole day, Earth Day, and National Chemistry Week activities. The chapter has also hosted several green chemistry events on campus.
The ASU group and others attend a national meeting next month in Dallas to receive recognition.
