The driver of a Ford passenger car fled from a San Angelo police
traffic stop on Saturday. The pursuit began at 19th and Pecan and
continued north through the Lake View area and onto Armstrong Street
with speeds reaching 80 miles an hour. The pursuit continued north
past the city limits and into Tom Green County on Texas Highway 208,
reaching a wooded area when the driver of the Ford passenger car left
the roadway, crashed through a fence, and abandoned the vehicle to
continue fleeing on foot. Sheriff's deputies, DPS troopers and police
combined to capture 22-year-old Randy Sutton of San Angelo, who faces
multiple charges. A 16-year-old juvenile passenger was also arrested.
