In the coming months, a series of three construction projects will be underway along a 46-mile stretch of State Highway 158. That's between US 87, north of Sterling City, and the Midland County line, about 20 miles east of the intersection with Interstate 20 in Midland. The Texas Department of Transportation says these improvements will widen the existing section of two-lane highway to a four-lane undivided highway. Work on the first segment on SH 158 between Garden City and the Sterling County line will begin on Monday.
