San Angelo History Harvest will hold a workshop on preserving family heirlooms next month. It will be held on January 18th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stephens Central Library on West Beauregard Avenue. Fort Concho is participating in the event, which is free and open to the public. Attendees may bring old family photos, letters, journals, home movies and videos and other documents. Sponsoring organizations will scan the paper items and immediately return the owner’s original materials, along with a free digital copy. The organizations also will create and retain a digital copy in accordance with the owner’s approval.
