Winter storm warning

The National Weather Service at San Angelo has issued a winter storm warning for west central Texas, including the Concho Valley. With temperatures already well below freezing, ice has accumulated up to one-quarter inch on area roadways. That has resulted in very dangerous driving conditions and travel is strongly discouraged. Ice on trees and power lines may cause damage perhaps resulting in power outages. Periods of freezing rain and sleet, moderate to heavy at times, will continue through this morning. Dangerous wind chill readings are also possible. Your complete forecast is on the way.
