Stolen vehicle and property

A San Angelo man was arrested this weekend after police recovered a stolen vehicle and stolen property. Just before midnight Friday, an officer observed a 2001 Nissan Xterra pass him and enter the parking lot of the San Angelo Lodge located on West Beauregard Avenue. The officer said the driver overreacted to seeing his patrol car and followed the driver to determine if criminal activity was taking place. The Xterra was found in the parking lot, unoccupied, and a computer check indicated it had been stolen out of Lubbock. Police caught up with 34-year-old Shawn Clark at the pool area. Further investigation turned up property stolen in a burglary on Oxford Drive. Clark was charged with burglary of a habitation and criminal trespass.
