Stolen vehicle

On Monday morning, a resident on Crockett Street started his Dodge Stratus and went inside while it warmed up. Before he came back, it was gone. However, a short while later, the man was in another vehicle when he saw his car on North Main Street, occupied by an unknown male. When he tried to make contact with the driver, the car took off and headed north on Main Street reaching speeds of 70 miles per hour. The driver eventually lost control of the car and crashed it into a chain link fence at 24th Street. The victim detained the driver until San Angelo Police arrived. The driver was identified as a 16-year-old juvenile, who was transported to the Tom Green County Juvenile Justice Center and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
