Winter weather advisory

A winter weather advisory is in effect for west central Texas, including the Concho Valley, beginning at 6 o'clock tonight and continuring through noon tomorrow. The National Weather Service says freezing rain and sleet will spread south into the Concho Valley, including San Angelo, late this afternoon and evening and farther south into the Interstate 20 corridor tonight. The wintry mix will result in ice accumulations of one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch. Ice will develop on area roadways, especially bridges and over passes, making for dangerous driving conditions. Dangerous wind chill readings will also be possible, dropping into the teens by Friday morning. Your complete forecast is on the way.
