A San Angelo man was arrested on Thanksgiving after leading police on a vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash in northwest San Angelo. Just after midnight, police pursued a pickup that had run a red light. The driver wound up crashing into a pole but was not injured. A search turned up marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia used in drug trafficking and a weapon. 23 year old Raymond C. Smith was taken into custody and charged with Driving with an Invalid License and No Insurance, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Evading Arrest Detention with a Vehicle, and Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
