According to City-County Emergency Management Coodinator Ron Perry, indicators in Tom Green County have not yet reached the point at which a burn ban is required. Based on that information, county commissioners did not reinstate the ban on burning. However, commissioners again remind you that if you do plan a controlled burn of brush, grass or the like, contact the Sheriff's Dispatch Office to let them know in advance, check the forecast the day before a burn and never burn during windy conditions.
