A principal who just joined the San Angelo ISD is a finalist in the Principal of the Year program of the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. Merl Brandon had served as principal of Miles High School since 1999, where he was regional Principal of the Year three times. Brandon began his duties as Central Freshman Assistant Principal on Monday.
