Once again this week, the Tom Green County Commissioners' Court has decided not to reinstate the burn ban. City-county Emergency Management Coordinator Ron Perry says indicators still have not reached the point at which a burn ban must be enacted. Perry does remind residents that if they plan a controlled burn, they should notify the Sheriff's Dispatch Office, check the forecast a day before and never burn during windy conditions.
