Testimony began today at the Coke County Courthouse in the trial of former FLDS Bishop Frederick Merril Jessop, accused of conducting an unlawful marriage between Warren Jeffs and a 12-year-old girl. Another FLDS member was in Coke County, pleading no contest to charges of bigamy and sexual assault of a child. In a plea deal, Leroy Johnston Steed was sentenced to seven years in prison.
