The former executive director of the Children's Advocacy Center of Tom Green County has pleaded guilty to one count of stealing funds from the organization. Debra Brown went before a federal judge in Lubbock Thursday. A grand jury indicted Brown last August on six count of embezzlement and theft from federally-funded programs. She could face up to a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of 250-thousand dollars.
