The slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Junior will be remembered on his day with several events in San Angelo. One takes place at noon at the Sacred Heart Cathedral downtown. That's where Catholic Bishop Michael Pfiefer, joined by other area ministers, will conduct a special ecumenical service honoring Doctor King. The LeCoterie Society of San Angelo will hold a luncheon at the ministerial Alliance Campus at 11-hundred MLK Drive. It starts at one; the cost to eat is six dollars.
