An honor for an alumnus of Angelo State University. Air Force Major General Ronnie Hawkins Jr. has been promoted to lieutenant general and selected to command the Defense Information Systems Agency headquartered at Fort Meade, Maryland. Hawkins will receive his third star when he assumes his new position tomorrow. Hawkins is a 1977 ASU grad and was a member of the Rams track and field teams that won three Lone Star Conference titles in the 70's.
