Major Storms Hammer Central, East Texas

A major weather system hammering central and east Texas today. Nearly three inches of water reported in one hour alone at the Austin airport this morning. Water rescues in Bastrop County and in San Antonio. Flash flooding being experienced in a number of areas as this major squall line roared through Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Some highways are under water late this afternoon in both central and east Texas. No word yet on whether there's been any loss of life. Radar images show that while we are in for more rain, that major storm is NOT heading our way. In fact, the Concho Valley is actually well behind it as it hammers its way northeasterly through Texas and into parts of Louisiana and Arkansas. Again, that storm front is not headed for us. We'll actually have sunshine starting tomorrow. I'll tell you about that in less than a minute.
