2-car fatal

A driver in a two-vehicle crash Friday about 16 miles south of San Angelo on U.S. 277, was killed. The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the driver who died as Michael Eugene Bell, of Palestine. The other driver, Christy Louella Arendt, was flown to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Her condition is unknown. According to reports, Bell's vehicle drifted into the southbound lane and struck the Arendt's Chevy head-on. What may have caused Bell to veer into the other lane is being investigated.
