Bishop wrapping up this week

After serving almost 30 years of leadership, Bishop Michael Pfeifer is leaving the Catholic Diocese of San Angelo this week. In 1985 he moved from San Antonio to San Angelo to fulfill his calling as bishop. In December, Pope Francis granted Pfeifer's request for retirement, and the diocese announced Michael J. Sis, of Austin, as his successor. Bishop Pfeifer plans to return to San Antonio to continue ministry in some fashion. And of course, he's offered a helping hand for Sis if he ever needs or wants it.
