Cold Weather

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for an area including Tom Green, Nolan, Sterling, Coke, Runnels, Iron, Concho, Crockett and Schleicher counties.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s during the day today.  Lows tomorrow morning will be in the teens to lower 20s.  Northeast winds of 15 to 25 miles an hour will produce wind chills ranging from around 10 degrees to the mid-teens.  Slick spots might develop on area roadways, especially on bridges and overpasses, and create hazardous driving conditions.  The cold temperatures will place outside pets, livestock and exposed water pipes at risk.
