House fire

The San Angelo Fire Department extinguished a two-alarm house fire at 1301 South Jackson Street early Saturday morning. When firefighters arrived, the house was fully engaged in flames on its southside. Firefighters tried to make entry into the house, but were pushed back by heat and smoke as the fire had already advanced into the attic and roof. Once firefighters had assured all four of the residents were out of the house, they fought the fire from the outside. There were no injuries, but the home is a total loss. The Fire Marshal's Office has ruled the cause as accidental, caused by the home's electrical system.
