A San Angelo man, accused along with his cousin of conspiring to commit murder, pleaded guilty Tuesday to that crime and a drug-related felony. The judge sentenced 22-year-old Joe Ventura Medina to 12 years in prison on each charge. The sentences will run concurrently. Medina and 27-year-old Macario Medina had allegedly planned to tie up, beat and kill Ashley Galindo in September of 2012. Medina was also indicted but his case has not yet gone to trial.
