The lights went out for some folks in North San Angelo Tuesday afternoon. According to the Standard Times, AEP says more than six-thousand customers were affected by a power outage shortly after 3:30. Outages were reported in Grape Creek, the Lake View area and Water Valley. A spokesman for AEP says it was caused when a piece of high-voltage equipment failed at a substation. Most of the power was back on with an hour.
