The Texas Attorney General has filed suit against Petroleum Wholesale L-P and some affiliates. Greg Abbott says the gas station company has been diluting medium and premium grade fuel with regular unleaded at 143 stations. The state is seeking penalties of as much as 20-thousand dollars for each violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and says the defendants diluted fuel in more than 1000 instances. They operate Sunmart Travel Centers and Convenience Stores and about 80 other service stations licensed in Texas.
