Shannon Medical Center has gas cards available for uninsured and underinsured cancer patients to ensure that they can get to therapy and support sessions. The Oncology Department received over two thousand dollars in grant money from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas. Patients must meet with the Patient Navigator for assistance and save receipts. Grants are funded through the sale of the Texans Conquer Cancer specialty license plates.
