New Wildfire South of Sweetwater

There haven’t been any red flag warnings lately, but the wildfire danger is still very real. A blaze started yesterday afternoon, about 2:45 in Nolan County. It’s burned about 500 acres and is listed as still zero percent contained. One home and one outbuilding are threatened. The Texas Forest Service has still not determined a cause. It’s about 23 miles south of Sweetwater, and rapidly spreading in short grass.
