The City of San Angelo has started renovating the Municipal Pool. Improvements will include new restrooms, dressing areas, a lifeguard area, concessions and tables for eating. They will add spray toys and a lap swimming area to the pool, with a vortex pool, two large water slides, a new pumping and filtration system and improved accessibility. This is the first complete renovation of the pool since it was built in 1938. Work should be complete in time for the next summer season.
