The Texas Department of Public Safety has a backlog of prescription permits, and at the end of August, more than 48-hundred registrations are set to expire. Doctors, dentists, veterinarians and hospitals have been frustrated by the wait for their renewals, this summer. The state is encouraging anyone with a registration that is going to expire before November to submit their application as soon as possible.
